The Virtual Exhibitions of ENIT National Tourism Agency
The portal of the virtual Enit exhibitions is born from the desire to create a global meeting space for the enhancement of the cultural heritage of the institution, intimately connected to the Italian one.
Established in 1919, the Agency has been involved in promoting Italy and its beauty abroad for over a hundred years, striving to raise the quality and quantity of tourist flows.
With the creation of a global network and ahead of its time on various issues, ENIT has carried out its task by creating advertising campaigns designed by best designers of the 30s-40s-50s, creating strategic alliances with important state bodies of the tourism sector, promoting competitions and photographic campaigns to document the state of Italian resources.
From marketing to advertising, from industry publications to supporting the arts and national culture, Enit has been ahead of its time and still organises its initiatives using the latest technologies and conveying its message through every communication channel.
As the result of an articulated approach to recover and enhance its own history, the Agency inaugurates with the exhibition: Enit and Italy. A great story, in this digital space thought as a place of knowledge and aggregation. The portal has a dual function: an exhibition environment where the institution’s cultural heritage can be set up and promoted, a navigation platform for research within the historical archive, whose cataloging work is still in progress.
